How can we help?

Frequently asked questions about ProfMe. For account-specific issues, contact us.

Is ProfMe an AI meeting note taker?
Yes. The macOS app captures meeting audio playing on your Mac, then creates a transcript, AI summary, and connected work context. It is available as a desktop download; it does not join your call as a bot.
Can ProfMe take notes without a meeting bot?
Yes. ProfMe captures system audio and microphone input on your Mac and does not join as a meeting participant. You start and stop recording yourself after granting macOS permissions. Tell participants and obtain any consent required for your situation; ProfMe does not notify them.
Which video conferencing platforms are supported?
ProfMe is a Mac desktop app that captures audio playing on your Mac, so it can be used alongside compatible meeting apps that play audio through macOS. It has no native Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams integration and does not join calls as a bot.
What integrations does ProfMe support?
This release does not sync calendar, Slack, email, or other work-service data. Meeting context comes from material you capture in ProfMe. Google sign-in, where configured, is separate from connecting Google Workspace data.
How does ProfMe use meeting information and AI?
ProfMe sends captured meeting audio for transcription and uses AI to create summaries and organize saved context for search and preparation. See AI & Recording and Privacy for provider and data-handling details.
Is my data used to train AI models?
AI provider data-use terms are being verified across production and fallback paths. See the Privacy Policy for the current status; ProfMe does not make a blanket no-training guarantee.
Can I export my memory and transcripts?
The desktop app includes export and deletion workflows, with scope and processing limits described in the Privacy Policy. Review that policy before relying on an export as a complete archive.
What happens when I delete content?
Deletion is asynchronous and some legal, audit, backup, or provider copies can follow separate lifecycles. See the Privacy Policy for the current scope and limitations.
How do I get started?
Download ProfMe for Mac, open the app, grant microphone and screen-audio permissions, then start your first meeting capture. Before recording, tell participants and obtain any consent or workplace approval required. ProfMe does not announce recording or notify participants for you.
